Comparison of glucose and lipid values in cord blood of newborns with small, normal and large birth weight according to gestational age

Objective: Fetal growth is a complex process influenced by environmental and genetic factors. Environmental factors such as glucose, lipids amino acids play role in of the fetus. Glucose, insulin lipid levels cord blood can change birth weight according to gestational age newborn. The aim study examine relationship between newborns with small (SGA), normal (AGA) large (LGA) age. Materials Methods: 358 term born our hospital January 2019 2020 were included study. By looking at percentile newborns, those below 10th considered SGA 10-90 percentiles AGA above 90th LGA newborns. Insulin, LDL cholesterol, HDL VLDL total cholesterol triglyceride umbilical studied after delivery. Results: Of study, 27 (7.5%) SGA, 312 (87.2%) AGA, 19 (5.3%) LGA. mean insulin, values all three groups compared. Cord glucose value was found lower significantly SGA. There not significant difference Conclusion: In correlation levels.
